Fortis UK has appointed Andy Watson to its Executive Team in the new role of Managing Director, Retail. The appointment supports the development of Fortis’ multi-channel strategy to increase its product range to customers whilst supporting brokers, IFAs and affinity partners in both the non-life and life markets. The new role reflects the increasing significance of Fortis UK’s retail businesses to its multi-distribution strategy and an ambition and confidence to grow these businesses further.
The focus of this role will be to lead Fortis UK’s retail strategy supporting RIAS, Fortis Insurance Solutions and Fortis UK’s Affinity Partnerships team*. The roles of Janet Connor, Managing Director, RIAS; Geoff Carter, Managing Director, Fortis Insurance Solutions; and Ian Wardle, UK Affinity Partnerships Director remain unaffected. Andy will report into Barry Smith, CEO Fortis UK.
